Are kids with Conduct Disorder child sociopaths?

Conduct Disorder is not the same as Antisocial Personality Disorder. In fact, most kids diagnosed with Conduct Disorder are the product of poor parenting, who once their parents have allowed them to spiral totally out of control, are put into either the juvenile justice system or the mental health system. Once the child is put into the system they have to have a diagnosis of something and Conduct Disorder is a quick easy scapegoat that allows the kids to be medicated. Most kids diagnosed with Conduct Disorder take a "surprising" turn for the better once they are away from their parents.
