Why are fundamentalist "Christians" so utterly, despicably hateful toward Mary, Mother of Jesus?

We don't hate Mary. She was a good person, but she was a sinner like the rest of us. We don't worship Mary, we don't need to pray to or through Mary or any other saint. The Bible says "all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God" and that "there is none righteous, no not one". Jesus is God, so that excludes Him. Jesus never sinned. The Bible also says that "there is one Mediator between God and man, the Man Christ Jesus". www.equip.org
